A piece inspired by a summer spent along the Mediterranean. Some places just stick with you more than others. With this piece, my desire was to paint the way the city felt more than the way it looked. A place full of color, romance, whimsy, so much so that it felt as though one stepped out of reality and into a story about a magical city that existed only far far away. Some fairytale ‘ish’ if you will haha. Emulating those fairytale feels, this piece entails a pastel palette and glowy aura. The viewer hopefully will feel light, enchanted, and wishing they could just step right into the story for an aperitivo at sunset.
